Helpful Hints
Choose your family carefully as you will be living with them for a period
of time and you need to be happy. This is the best way to avoid being homesick.
Bring a gift from your country to the host family's children, as this is
always a good start. It does not need to be expensive.
If you decide to become an Au Pair, flexibility and respect for your family
is extremely important. If you do have any problems then you should tell your
host family about your worries.
Remember that being an Au Pair is not a holiday. You are being paid to help around the house and care for the children.
